2025 Snake River Weed Management Tours Are June 24 At Aberdeen, June 25 At Kimberly

The dates for the 2025 Snake River Weed Management Tours/field days have been set.

They are:

  • Tuesday, June 24 - UI Aberdeen Research and Extension Center, 1693 S 2700 W Aberdeen, ID 83210
  • Wednesday, June 25 - UI Kimberly Research and Extension Center, 3806 N 3600 E, Kimberly ID 83341

Registration at each event is 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. 

Each tour then goes from 9 a.m. to noon, followed by a sponsored lunch.  

You do not need to pre-register/ RSVP. 

Tour organizers anticipate that three Idaho pesticide recertification credits will be available after the tour at each location.

Featured On The Tour

At the Kimberly event, updates on Palmer amaranth and waterhemp in Idaho, weed control in corn, dry bean, sugarbeet, potatoes and quinoa will be given as well as a herbicide drift and injury symptom demonstration.

In addition, updates will be given on:

  • Alfalfa and corn silage production
  • Potato production and storage management
  • Insect studies in potato and sugarbeet
  • Updates on the Innovative Agriculture and Marketing Partnership (A.K.A. Climate-smart commodities for Idaho)
