John Deere dealers in Minnesota and South Dakota plan to merge in June.

Farm Equipment magazine reports 17 locations among four dealerships are consolidating, to become one of the 15 largest Deere dealer groups in the U.S.

All but three of the stores involve Kibble Equipment and Schuneman Equipment, with two owned by James River Equipment and the other by Larson’s LLC of Wheaton, Minn.

A letter to customers posted on each dealership’s website says the merger brings together a group of stable, neighboring John Deere dealerships in an effort to enhance services.

The anticipated date of the merger is June 5.
